The hotel has made a strong commitment to the field of catering by opening a brand-new, beautifully designed restaurant, PIOLA, where they serve up signature cuisine with a wide range of meat- and fish-based dishes, always using high-quality local products.
Of course, they also prepare traditional Cuenca dishes and a variety of alternatives for people with allergies or intolerances. All this is topped off with their delicious homemade desserts and generous walk-in wine cellar, where guests can pick the wine that most tickles their fancy from among more than 700 bottles.
Celebrations and meetings steeped in history
The hotel has a multi-purpose function room for all kinds of celebrations or meetings called EL ALJIBE. It owes its name to the ancient water tank discovered during the refurbishment works. It is almost four metres deep and can store more than 30 cubic metres of water. It dates back to the Middle Ages.
PIOLA Gastropub
Located next to Cuenca’s Plaza Mayor, and complementing the restaurant area, this is the perfect space in which to enjoy a cup of coffee or a snack in a laid-back and elegant setting. In the evening, the dim lighting and relaxing music conjure the ideal atmosphere for an informal dinner with our recommended tapas or a drink. The entrance is right next to a mediaeval fountain.
Terrace
The terrace is located next to the ancient ruins of the 12th century Templar Church of San Pantaleón. The magic of the surroundings combined with our delicious selection of food, coffees or drinks makes this unique restaurant a worthy stop on any journey.
